- Wool Dryer Balls Set of 6
Howe They Work
Woolzies dryer balls naturally soften laundry and reduce wrinkles. They bounce around inside the dryer creating space between laundry items. This allows the hot air to circulate, reducing drying time by up to 25% and saving you electricity and money. They are super quiet and reduce static build up. Our dryer balls can be used over and over again as they last for up to 1,000 loads.
How To Use
Add 6 dryer balls to a large load of laundry for soft, fresh clothes.
For great smelling laundry, pair Woolzies dryer balls with our essential oils. Add 3-6 drops of your desired essential oil to the dryer balls and put them in the dryer after your clothes have already been dried. Run the dryer again on an Air Fluff (non-heated) cycle for 10 minutes and your laundry will come out smelling amazing and fresh.

Love the wool dryer balls!
Using this product has freed me from using dryer sheets loaded with toxic chemicals and synthetic fragrances. I simply add a few drops of lavender oil to one of the wool balls before I start my machine. The fresh fragrance wafts through the house as my laundry dries--even quicker than usual! The wool dryer balls are offered at such a reasonable price, I plan on purchasing sets for my friends and family as holiday gifts. A set of those, along with a vial of essential oil, will make a unique and useful present for everyone on my list. Thank you for offering such a practical item.
Yes, they really work. Really.
I'm an engineer, and a skeptic, so when my sister-in-law told me these balls really work, I was not convinced. After using them for a couple of months, I can say positively that they work. The clothes dry faster and come out fluffy and soft. But how? The introduce static electricity, that's how. The balls, with their fine wool composition, coat the dryer contents with static electricity as the dryer rolls - forcing the dryer contents to repel against one another giving them space to fluff, and to dry more quickly. You will notice that there's more static in the laundry pile after the dryer is done, but your clothes will be softer and drying time is reduced by about 20% because the contents were floating freer inside the dryer. Our large home dryer has four of these balls in it for each medium to large load. It is important to not over-stuff the dryer with too much at one time, because to work properly, the wool balls need some available space for the laundry to fluff. Also, expect that one or two of the balls will from time to time get caught up in a shirt sleeve or fitted sheet - you need to "hunt" for them in the load as you fold. But that's just fun. Oh, and they seem to last forever. I don't see why they'd need to be replaced unless they're lost to the place where the odd sock goes to.
I've recently ditched the dryer sheets and switched to these! I add a few drops of essential oils to each one, lavender for sheets and towels! Smells so good! They are clunky (duh, it's a bunch of balls bouncing around in your dryer) so, it could be annoying if your dryer is upstairs. Sometimes they get stuck in sleeves or pant legs, so you have to feel around while taking your clothes out to make sure you've got em all in there for the next load. I can't wear anything wool and these have given me zero skin issues! If you're looking to ditch the crazy amount of chemicals in dryer sheets, buy these! I also have been making my own laundry soap! No chemicals in this laundry mat!
Love these! So far I still have all six. They don't seem to help with static as much as I had hoped, but they get rid of the dryer sheets and reduce drying time by at least 20 minutes. I wash cloth diapers at least twice a week and they really help dry them faster.
fluffy, unwrinkled laundry!
While these are advertised to last for 1000 loads of laundry, I can personally attest that mine have lasted much longer than that. I do not think that they are as good as dryer sheets for reducing static- I still throw a dryer sheet in- but they definitely fluff up the laundry, make it dry faster, and keep it from being wrinkled. Sometimes the Woolzies hide in the cuffs of long sleeved shirts or in the corner pocket of a fitted bed sheet, but it's a mild inconvenience to fish them out and return them to the dryer.
